CYCLISTS are being invited to tame the Exmoor beast again this autumn.

The third instalment of the cycle challenge will start at Butlin's, Minehead, on Sunday, November 1 and make its way to Lynton and Lynmouth before heading out across the moor and returning to Minehead for the finish.

Entrants may choose to undertake a challenging 100-mile ride or one of 103 kilometres instead, either individually or in teams, with many opting to raise money for charity at the same time.

Cyclists are closely monitored by support vehicles and feed stations are provided along the route. The challenge is organised by MIG Events in association with various local organisations.

Among the charities represented is CLIC Sargent, which is appealing for cyclists to come forward and take up the Exmoor Beast challenge to help support children with leukaemia and their families.

Anyone who would like to find out more about the Exmoor Beast and taking part or to sponsor Team Griffin and help raise money for CLIC can log on to www.exmoorbeast.org.
