Woolacombe’s Europa Holiday Park has been sold.

The 12.5 acre holiday village was sold off a £2.5 million guide price by Christie and Co to residential park operator Henry Simmons.

The park has amenities for camping and touring holidays and permanent accommodation such as surf pods, glamping, shacks, huts and caravans.

Facilities at the park include a clubhouse, restaurant, shop, takeaway and indoor pool to serve the 52 self-catering units, and 119 pitches for caravans and campers.

Previous owner Graham Toms had owned and operated Europa since 2003.

Stephen Champion, Christie and Co’s senior business agent, said: “We are thrilled to announce the sale to Henry Simmons. We carried out a comprehensive marketing campaign which resulted in interest from a variety of buyer groups.

“The buyer pool continues to expand for hospitality businesses in the South West due to a lack of quality opportunities available to satisfy demand from buyers who are keen to acquire proven robust profitable assets and financially proven to deliver within an agreed timeline.”
