SPRING is in the air in Torrington, where thoughts are once again turning to May Fair.The youngsters of Torrington Junior School have chosen the May Queen to be, 11-year-old Erin Taylor, and her court.Sara-Jane Vanstone, 11, will be her crowner and Joshua Sussex and Danny Pateman, both also 11, will be her boy heralds.Chosen as the young attendants are Anelisa Zaharia, Louisa Stevens, Hettie Baker, Sada Ord, Lilith Foster-Collins, Sharon Mazura, Chloe Brown and Jazzmine Dennis, all aged seven or eight.Once again there will be strong family links when the youngsters take part in the age-old crowning ceremony in the town square on May 7.Annelisa and Hettie are both daughters of former May Queens while Louise's mum was an attendant and so was Sada's sister.
