The latest addition to Barnstaple High Street is enlisting Batman and Robin to open its new store next week.
The Entertainer will be hosting a grand opening from 9am on Saturday, October 6, and Lego’s Batman and Robin characters will be making an appearance.
As well as the appearance from the dynamic duo from 10am, there will be giveaways, in-store demonstrations and balloon modelling.
The Entertainer will also be hosting a special trolley dash for children and families helped by the charity Families in Grief.
Craig Lowe, events coordinator at The Entertainer, said: “We are really looking forward to The Entertainer’s grand opening event in Barnstaple.
“It’ll be great for the children to meet some of their favourite life-sized characters and have their picture taken.”
Emma Marston, Families in Grief coordinator, said: “We’re over the moon about being chosen by The Entertainer to take part in the charity trolley dash.
“It’s such a unique experience. All the toys collected will be given as Christmas presents to bereaved children and young people here in North Devon. We are so grateful for this opportunity.”
The Entertainer moves into the building vacated by This Is It, which closed in April.
The independent toy retailer was founded in 1981 in Amersham, Buckinghamshire by husband and wife team, Gary and Catherine Grant, and now has 150 stores across the UK.
