FREE Easter activities are planned for all the family during the holiday at Bicclescombe Park in Ilfracombe, North Devon's only Green Flag Award winning park.The activities are being organised by the Parks and Amenities Team at North Devon Council. There is the opportunity to take part in an Easter egg hunt along with arts and crafts sessions with an Easter and springtime theme, run by Karen Hawkins from Oceanic Arts.There is no need to book a place, just come along and join in.An Easter treasure hunt will take place on Wednesday, April 8 from 11am-3pm. There is no need to book a place, just turn up. Arts and crafts activities will also be taking place.Take advantage of an opportunity on Wednesday, April 15 to brighten up the home by making beautiful flowers that never need watering from everyday recycled materials and bottles.Councillor Colin Wright, Ilfracombe Ward Member and Portfolio Holder for Good and Improving Services at North Devon Council, said: "This is a great opportunity for the whole family to take part in some fun Easter activities together. Who knows what might be found in the treasure hunt? These are the first events arranged by the council this year at Bicclescombe Park with more to come." All of the activities are suitable for any age, but young children will need to be accompanied by an adult. There will be different age categories for the treasure hunt with winners being awarded an extra prize.
