A 42-year-old man has been charged with taking a vehicle without consent, no insurance or licence and obstructing police after being arrested at Chulmleigh in the early hours of Thursday morning.Traffic police stopped a Citroen Saxo in South Molton Street at 4am and attempted to speak to the two men in the car, but they ran away.The man and a 16-year-old boy were arrested a short distance away and taken to Barnstaple Police Station. No further action will be taken against the teenager, but the man is to appear before Barnstaple Magistrates on Friday of next week.
