POLICE arrested two men after packets of controlled drugs were stolen from a Bideford pharmacy.Officers and a police dog handler discovered packets of drugs, including Diazepam, Co-Proximol and Dihydrocodeine, on the Tarka Trail near Bideford.The incident began at 12.30am on Sunday morning when the alarm sounded at Lloyds Pharmacy and a window was found to be broken.A police helicopter was called to the scene and used thermal imaging cameras to try to locate the suspects.Two men were arrested near the river at Ethelwynne Brown Close, Bideford, at around 3am. Both in their 20s and from Bideford, they were released on bail until June 12.Any witnesses are urged to contact the police on 08452 777444 quoting crime reference number 42/17/05/09.
