NORTH Devon Magistrates have fined a North Molton dog owner for failing to clean up after her animal.
The court heard how Tina Ash refused to give her name and address when North Devon Council dog warden Carol Dimmock attempted to issue her with a �75 fixed penalty notice after spotting the offence on February 3.
Ash, of East Street, told the warden she was on her way home to fetch a bag after her collie dog fouled on a path in the village.
She was ordered to pay a �100 fine, as well as �75 costs and �15 victim surcharge at the hearing on yesterday afternoon (Wednesday).

The maximum penalty for owners failing to pick up their dogs' poo is �1,000.
