KC Dog, the Kennel Club scheme in place to help dog owners protect their rights, is alerting all dog-owners to various dog control order consultations closing in the coming weeks. This is the public's last chance to have their say regarding changes to dog access rights in various local areas including Wandsworth, Fylde and North Devon. North Devon Council is consulting on a Fouling of Land by Dogs Order which would make it an offence to fail to pick up after your dog. Consultation closes on Monday, May 21. Visit www.northdevon.gov.uk for further details. To respond to the consultation email customerservices@northdevon.gov.uk or write to Head of Service for Environmental Health and Housing, Civic Centre, Barnstaple, EX31 1EA. Caroline Kisko, Kennel Club communications director, said: "It is important dog owners have a chance to have their say on dog access in their local area. We would therefore strongly urge people to respond to the public consultation and make their views known about this issue. We need to ensure that the actions of a few irresponsible dog owners do not ruin it for the rest of us.
