The National Trusts stunning Heddon Valley in Exmoor National Park has become the sixth countryside site and visitor attraction to have a Tramper all-terrain mobility buggy available to hire for use on paths and trails. The scheme, based on the principle of the town centre Shopmobility initiative, is run by Devonwide charity Living Options Devon. It began earlier this summer at five sites across Devon, Cornwall and Dorset with the Heddon Valley the latest to go live. James Maben, Countryside Mobility Project Manager from Living Options Devon said: We are really pleased to get yet another site involved in hiring Trampers. People with mobility problems have long been excluded from exploring beautiful areas like the Heddon Valley and this scheme lets them get out in the fresh air and enjoy the breathtaking coastal views like anyone else. James said the charity was keen to hear from any other visitor attractions or countryside venues that would be interested in hosting Trampers.
