IF you are bored by bags of limp salad, think you are paying too much for your vegetables at the supermarket, or want to reduce your food miles, Rosemoor Gardens in Torrington may have the answer.The RHS garden is holding a free Grow Your Own Veg Day on March 8 to help people grow their own.Anyone can have a go, no matter what your level of expertise or how much space you have. Vegetables can be cultivated in containers, grow bags and even hanging baskets. It's rewarding and healthy.TV gardener Carol Klein will be there from 1pm - 3pm, signing copies of her book, Grow Your Own Veg and chatting about growing veg yourself. There will also be walks, talks and demonstrations throughout the day by Rosemoor's veg experts Peter Earl and Garry Preston, plus children's activities.There will be a limited number of free RHS starter packs available to visitors, on a first come first served basis.To keep up to date with veg news and advice visit www.rhs.org.uk/vegetables.
