Delicious meerkat fun for Halloween at Exmoor Zoo

AS she prepares to experience her first Halloween at Exmoor Zoo, young meerkat Alexandria is not quite sure what all the fuss is about.

She does concede her new edible house has some advantages and has wasted no time in making a few interior alterations.

Hand raised by zoo staff after being abandoned by her mother, Alexandria and the rest of the inhabitants at the attraction near Bratton Fleming have been enjoying a “spooktacular” Halloween with plenty of tasty scary treats.

Throughout this half term week visitors are invited to capture any number of scary, strange or cute creatures on paper using the free art materials provided for the zoo’s annual Big Draw event in conjunction with the Blue Gallery.
