KEEN cyclists are being invited to join the organisers of the Coast to Coast Challenge 2008 to find out just where their magical mystery tour of a charity cycle race will lead them on Sunday, June 8. A launch party is being held at The Aggi in Braunton on Sunday from 7.pm. It will be the perfect opportunity to catch up with last year's competitors or to sign up for this year's event. Two routes will be unveiled - a direct route of 67 miles and an indirect route of 92 miles, both ending at the same "top-secret-until-the-launch" location. This allows riders to complete their preferred distance and take in some of the finest countryside that Devon has to offer. Last year, the event raised £10,000 and this year the North Devon Hospice will be the lucky recipient. Organiser Simon Paddon said, "'I am excited to be back supporting the North Devon Hospice. So far, the ride has raised more than £17,000 for North Devon based charities and we aim to raise £25,000 this year for the hospice." Hospice community fund-raiser, Emma Lowe said: "I know the organisers have been working flat out to provide two routes that will take the cyclists through some pretty spectacular Devon countryside." The challenge will form part of this year's North Devon Festival programme and will start from the Landmark Theatre, Ilfracombe.Cyclists can also register online by going to www.coast-coast.co.uk
