PLANS for a 215,000 cycleway and footpath project alongside Station Hill in Torrington have been approved by the Torridge Highways and Traffic Orders Committee.

The county scheme is for the construction of a 2.5 metre wide link on the southern side of Station Hill from the Puffing Billy to Limers Hill.

It is the first element of proposed cycle links from the Tarka Trail to the town centre, with further elements providing off-road access from Limers Hill into the town.
