Crossing appeal

In New Street, Torrington, we have a new pothole free road, a brilliant new store, and a post box.

Now please may we have a pedestrian crossing – not a zebra? Twice lately two pedestrians got involved with traffic and were terrified.

The causes are vehicles parked either side of the slipway, obstructing oncoming traffic until pedestrians are in the centre of the road.

I understand the issue of parking permits is gaining momentum. Bring it on! Then perhaps builders’ vehicles can be parked outside their own houses.
