Cows escape after farm gate stolen

Police are appealing for information after the gate disappeared from a field in Bradworthy sometime on Thursday night.

POLICE are appealing for information after a farmer’s gate was stolen, causing a herd of cattle to run loose.

The five-bar oak farm gate was taken from the Bradworthy area sometime between 8.30pm on Thursday and 5.20am on Friday.

Police have also received reports of a white van acting suspiciously around the Wrangworthy area of Bradworthy.

Anyone who has seen any vehicles or people acting suspiciously is urged to call police on non-emergency number 101 quoting crime ref: CH/13/322.
