Courses to help with long term health conditions

PEOPLE in Bideford who are living with long-term health conditions such as diabetes, asthma, MS and arthritis are to be offered free support from trained tutors to enable them to get the most out of life.

A new course will be launched on Tuesday, January 17, at the Hallsannery Centre, New Road, Bideford, and will be held every Tuesday afternoon for six weeks.

The Expert Patient Programme run by NHS Devon helps people develop skills, confidence and knowledge, achieving the greatest possible physical capability and pleasure from life, despite living with a chronic health condition.

NHS Devon also runs Looking after Me courses for carers who look after a person with a long term condition.
