TWO Torridge councillors have topped up grant aid for The Store Homelessness Project in Bideford with �2,000 from their Councillor Community Grant allowance.

The money from Councillors Roger Johnson and Tony Inch will help The Store charity and its volunteer helpers with its work to help homeless and needy families and individuals in the Torridge district.

Set up in 2005, the charity has been dealing with more than 2,000 cases a year, helping people on benefits or low incomes and it is always looking for financial donations or good, clean furniture, electrical goods or household items.
