MUSIC to the ears of Bideford Folk Festival organisers is the allocation of a 2,000 grant.
The money has come from Torridge district councillor Peter Christie, through his Councillor Community Grant allowance.
It is being used to help fund the festival workshops and to start up other regular workshops on musical instruments, dancing and singing for children.
Jerry Bix, from the folk festival, said: "This funding means that we can get the very best for the children to learn from. It's fantastic!"
