North Devon's only representative on the Fire Authority, County Councillor Rodney Cann, said Ilfracombe was the most vulnerable of the towns facing cuts and should be saved."I think it would be sheer folly to remove the full time crews from there," he said."I believe the proposals regarding the aerial ladders was the lesser of two evils and hope to convince my colleagues to revisit that."Mr Cann will need to convince four other FA members in order to submit a motion to look at it again.Ilfracombe fire fighters will be campaigning for public support and asking people to sign a petition or submit their comments, at the town's Tesco store on Saturday between 10am-4pm.
