Council proposing land transfer to North Devon Homes

Committee asked to approve transfer of council land at Newton Tracey for association’s affordable housing regeneration scheme.

NORTH Devon Council is seeking to transfer land at Newton Tracey to North Devon Homes.

The housing association currently has six old pre-cast reinforced concrete (PRC) homes on the site at The Orchards, scheduled for demolition as part of its redevelopment programme.

The council owns part of the site and today (Tuesday) its executive committee is being recommended to approve transfer of the freehold to NDH to enable the provision of nine new affordable homes.
