Three projects in the town will receive a share of the funding from North Devon Council.

THREE Ilfracombe projects will benefit from a share of more than £90,000 from North Devon Council funds.

Executive members agreed at a meeting on Tuesday that £65,000 would be given to the Old Quay Head at Ilfracombe Harbour to begin appraisals and design processes for restoration work.

The Ilfracombe Yacht Club will receive £20,000 to carry out structural repairs to the roof and walls and £8,000 will be given for energy saving updates to the town’s decorative lighting.

Diana Hill, the council’s head of property and technical services, said: “These three projects are all important to Ilfracombe in different ways so we’re pleased to be able to invest in the ongoing maintenance of these important assets.”
