North Devon charity is urging people to help them care for families after record-breaking fundraising year.

Care For Kids North Devon looks set to have a record-breaking year for fundraising.

Partnering with Sainsbury’s in Roundswell, the charity has helped to raise its profile and events and bucket collections have so far raised £2,500.

While 2015 fundraising is set to top any other year since its set-up in 2009, the charity has helped 16 families with a financial grant – double the amount it expected.

The family grant of £800 is paid to families under the care of North Devon District Hospital whose illnesses are life threatening and require specialist care in other hospitals far from home.

The charity is looking for schools and businesses to get involved in fundraising.
