Community uses for planning money

North Devon Council proposing to spend ‘section 106’ money on community projects.

NORTH Devon Council looks likely to approve almost £10,000 in funding to extend the car park at Bishops Nympton Parish Hall next week.

On Tuesday the council’s executive committee will be recommended to approve allocation of ‘section 106’ planning money paid by the developers of Meadow View in the village.

The hall facility also incorporates the Community Shop and Post Office, and the existing parking is inadequate, leading to parking on the road when events are being held.

The committee is also recommended to approve almost £1,500 of S106 money towards ‘combination goal’ outdoor sports equipment at Laurels Playground in North Molton.
