North Devon Bat Care is inviting people to event in Bishops Tawton to see new bat care flight pen.

North Devon Bat Care is opening its brand new flight pen and care shed at 6pm on Saturday (April 30).

The open event will take place at the rescue centre in Bishops Tawton.

Anyone who donated towards the appeal or would like to find out more about the charity is invited to come along.

Visitors can park at the Park School park and ride and walk up the Tarka Trail where it will clearly signposted.

There is no parking on site.

During the evening you can learn about bats and watch them practise flying before they are released.

Samantha Pickering, head bat carer, thanked Mole Vallery Farmers for donating materials and Countryside and Gardens team for their help building the bat care shed and flight pen.

On the night there will also be a raffle, bat gifts and more information about North Devon Bat Care.
