THE people of Combe Martin took the streets for their annual carnival parade last night (Wednesday.)
Hillbillies, pirates and even several bunches of grapes were in evidence as plenty of floats and host of costumed walkers made their way along the mile-and-half long main street.
Don't miss Friday's "mini carnival in the form of the exciting wheelbarrow race, where fancy dress is compulsory and wheelbarrows are often especially inventive. The race leaves the top of the village at 8pm and anyone who wishes to take part is invited to assemble from 6.30-7pm.
The week of celebrations will draw to a close with a firework show on the seafront at approximately 9.30pm.
