Combe Martin Carnival week kicks into high gear tonight (Wednesday) with the main parade down the mile-long village street.
Walkers and floats will assemble from just before 6pm, with the parade moving off at 7.30pm.
Tomorrow (Thursday) the Raft and Kayak Races return to the beach, with races at approx 5pm and registration from 3.30pm. There is live music at the Castle Inn at 10pm.
Friday is the Wheelbarrow Fiesta, essentially a mini carnival, with costumed wheelbarrow ‘racers’ setting off from Holdstone Way at the top of the village at 7.30pm. There will be fireworks on the beach later at 10pm.
Road closures will be in place during both parades.
Saturday will see a Car Show at the Pack O’ Cards pub from 10am-3pm, followed by a Duck Race at 3pm.
