An off-the-wall tribute to Barry Chuckle, Scooby Doo the OAP Tour and Abba were among the entries in the 2018 Combe Martin Carnival.
Walkers and floats took to the mile-long village street yesterday (Wednesday) evening for the main carnival parade.
Entries included a huge Mama Mia tribute from Matt Bacon, family and friends, plus Club Sphinx from The Numpties and a Barry Chuckle tribute as the Chuckle Brothers took his coffin on its final journey.
The royalty float featured carnival queen Kym Jeffs, junior queen Candi Clemence, junior princess Elsie Beeken, runner up junior princess Freya Dennis and fairy queen Isla Worth.
Carnival week continues tonight (Thursday) with the raft and kayak races at the beach from 5pm, register from 3.30pm.
The Wheelbarrow Fiesta, a mini carnival in itself, will be held tomorrow (Friday) with assembly from 6pm and moving off at 7.30pm.
Saturday will see a Car Show at the Pack O’ Cards pub from 10am-3pm, followed by a Duck Race at 3pm.
Combe Martin Parish Church has a flower festival running from Friday until Sunday.
