BIDEFORD project manager Sadie Green is one of 100 people nationwide chosen to receive grants from the Winston Churchill memorial Trust this year.
Churchill Fellows receive grants to enable them to visit countries around the world to carry out a range of projects.
Sadie will go to Bideford's new twin town of Manteo during a six weeks trip to North Carolina and Virginia, USA, in September/October.
She has for more than a decade been initiating, co-ordinating and managing arts-based projects, including the successful Devon Artsculture project and, as chairman of Bideford Bay Creatives, she is keen to establish cultural and creative links between the two communities.

Sadie will research the North Devon pottery trade and make links with artists, arts organisations and artists' networks.
She is also a member of the Bideford 500 group which seeks to research and celebrate the town's heritage, including its longstanding links with America, as an aid to tourism and regeneration.
