A HAIRY hero and a church minister in drag are among the attractions of the pantomime Babes in the Wood being presented by the Bright Stars Theatre Group.Local funeral director Richard Williams takes the role of Timex the watch dog, who provides the happy ending when he finds the lost Babes.Bideford Methodist minister the Rev Paul Martin fills the dame's costume as the children's nurse.The Babes Harry and Carrie are played by brother and sister Thomas and Laura Reader. Other main parts include Robin Hood and Maid Marion, played by Ann-Maria Hallett and Claire Trewin.The show takes the stage at Northam Methodist Hall on Fridays and Saturdays, January 16 and 17 and 23 and 24, nightly at 7pm and with Saturday matinees at 2.30pm.Proceeds are for Northam Youth Club.Seats can be booked on (01237) 408226.
