THE people of Chulmleigh have spoken - and this year's Old Fair royalty is already looking forward to the big occasion later this month.
Chulmleigh Community College student, 15-year-old Rebecca Harrison will be Fair Queen. Rebecca will be attended by Chulmleigh Primary School pupils Willow Farley, 8, and Emma McNiell-Smith, 10. Her crown bearer will be five-year-old Jasmine Farley, while this year's heralds are Tobi Farley and Zac Penter, both 8. Chief herald will be Jack Povey, age 9.
According to Chulmleigh Old Fair committee member Sylvia Gilson, a "huge number" of locals turned out at the town hall to cast their votes.
"The event also raised a total of 561 for fair funds through the sale of coffee, cakes and competitions," said Mrs Gilson.
