Teenager raises more than £600

A Bishops Tawton teenager has raised more than £600 for the North Devon Animal Ambulance.

Duchy College student Rebecca Rider, 18, took on a skydive with vet Turlock Ardley, from Market Vets in Pottington, in aid of the charity which she currently assists on work experience.

She is studying animal management and cares for rescued animals at their clinic every Friday.

The pair had to wait until 8pm to undertake their skydive due to bad weather, which meant jumping from 15,000 feet through a beautiful sunset.

“The wait was worth it as everything was perfect; it was such a magnificent and exhilarating experience over all too quickly!” said Rebecca.

“I can’t wait until my next skydive, maybe with my mum Gwen next time?!”
