Christina takes the plunge to help local charity
THRILL seeker Christina Lowe has jumped out of a perfectly good aeroplane at 15,000 feet to raise money for Barnstaple Children’s Centres.
Christina 25, took to the skies for a tandem skydive at Honiton Airfield on behalf of the Action for Children’s centres, where staff are fund raising to transform their gardens into places where all the family can enjoy the great outdoors.
“The skydive was absolutely amazing and was definitely the best experience of my life,” said Christina, who lives in Exford and raised £350 through her jump.
“I wanted to do something for Action for Children and its centres in Barnstaple because of the fantastic work they do with children and their families.
I know the garden makeover is really important so I’m thrilled the money I raised will help provide an outdoor space that will be really special to families.”
Action for Children’s Helen Hallam, Manager of Barnstaple Area Children’s Centre, added: “We can’t thank Christina enough for her incredible support. The money she has raised will help reach our target of £2,000 to give our families the special outdoor space they need to come together to learn and play.
“Playing outside in the fresh air is an essential part of growing up, but many of the local children who come to our children’s centres don’t have access to a garden of their own.”
