BOB Woodward, founder of the children's cancer charity CLIC, will be the guest at the AGM of CLIC Sargent, North Devon branch, tonight (Wednesday) at the Cedars Hotel, Bickington, from 7.30pm.Mr Woodward began CLIC (Cancer and Leukaemia in Children) after losing his son to cancer in 1976.In 2005, the charity merged with Sargent Cancer Care for Children to help children and their families across the UK.Some of the people who met Mr Woodward at the start of his venture will be at tonight's meeting, which will also celebrate the fund-raising success of the North Devon committee, which has contributed almost £1 million over the past 21 years.
