THE annual Barnstaple Lions Club Christmas draw has raised some £2,500 for local good causes.Since October and with the generous support of Marks and Spencer, club members have been busy selling tickets come rain or shine.This year the club had to print additional tickets half way through, such was the demand.First prize was a two-minute trolley dash through the food hall of Marks and Spencer, or £300 in M&S vouchers, won by Janet Ward with the winning ticket of number 10982, who chose vouchers.Second prize was £75 in vouchers, claimed by Janet Taylor with ticket 6816. Third prize of £45 was won by Cynthia Saunders with ticket 3561 and fourth prize of £25 went to Mrs Smales with ticket 9568. "All of this hard work and generous support means the club will have raised approximately £2,500, all of which will be donated back to local charities and worthy causes," said president Graham Kingsbury."A big thank you to everyone who supported our club in the selling and raising this wonderful sum of money.
