Big-hearted couple raise hundreds for bloodbikes charity by hosting two 70th birthday parties

Light-footed Ken and Lorna Abbott have donated £865 to Devon Freewheelers after holding two birthday parties to celebrate Ken’s 70th.

The couple from Cullompton are well known in North Devon as they attend charity dances including Goodleigh and Filleigh.

A party was held for family and then the next day more than 100 of their dancing friends from across the area turned out for a dance at Calverleigh.

Gill Day at Devon Freewheelers said: “£800 makes such a difference to our charity for the fuel or maintenance of the bike. Thank you for making a difference.”
