Clovelly is getting ready to celebrate the ‘silver darlings’ at its Herring Festival on Sunday.
The village once depended on the harvest of herring, which are caught in superb condition for a short season off its coast.
There will be quay kitchens, historical displays, a smokehouse, beer tastings, net making, flax processing and more.
The event at Clovelly Harbour will run from 10am-4pm, admission charges apply.
