Organisers confirm this morning (Thursday) show will go on after successful track inspection.

FIRST it was on, then it was off, but now the Castle Hill Car Festival is officially back on track to run this August.

The organisers of the festival on August 9 and 10 confirmed on Twitter this morning (Thursday) that the event is back on.

Last week organisers announced the show would be off due to ‘circumstances beyond their control’ but on Friday there were hopes it could be back on.

The motoring, classic car and trade show event in Filleigh said on Friday it had taken ‘positive strides’ towards getting it back on.

The main concern was the staging of the Track Sprint Challenge, but this morning organisers confirmed a track inspection was a success and the show will go on.

@CHCarFestival tweeted: “The Castle Hill Car Festival is ON!! The track inspection was a success, so please spread the word. #lovethemsa.”
