Cash stolen from Combe Martin charity bingo

More than £1,000 was stolen during the interval of the event on Wednesday, attended by up to 200 people.

POLICE are appealing for information following the theft of money from a charity bingo event in Combe Martin.

Cash totalling £1,130 was stolen from a tin on the stage of Combe Martin Village Hall, some time between 8.45pm and 9.30pm on Wednesday.

The event was held in aid of the North Devon Hospice with between 150 and 200 people in attendance.

Anyone who witnessed the theft or has any information is asked to contact police on non-emergency number 101 quoting police reference CI/13/1457 or alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
