PUPILS at Marwood School are celebrating after receiving a �7,500 boost from Devon County Council funds allocated from the sale of Exeter International AirportThe money, which was allocated by Combe Martin Rural county councillor Andrea Davis from her local projects fund, will be used to level the grass turfed football pitch and sports area, prolonging its life and making it more accessible.Head of Marwood School, Alun Dobson, said: "The level sports pitch will allow children of all ages to enjoy team games and to develop their skills. The football team is also looking forward to inviting teams from other schools to play matches here. The school is grateful to Cllr Davis for supporting this project and our thanks also go to the White and Tamlyn families, who have also generously given funds.
