Care home workers in Bideford and Fremington win big at Care South Awards.
Care home workers from North Devon are celebrating after winning awards at the Care South Stars Awards.
Corinne Topps, matron at Fremington Manor, was recognised for her hard work and presented with the chairman’s award for outstanding individual of the year.
Felicity Irwin, chairman of Care South, said: “She is always looking for new ways to improve care and enhance the lives of her residents and truly deserves this award.”
Martin Gayette, who works at Kenwith Castle in Bideford, was presented the title of Care South’s, chef of the year award after impressing judges during a cook off final.
Dee Pugsley, Lindsey Smale, Denise Ley and Sharon Snell, also of Kenwith Castle, claimed the prize for best support services team.
The awards took place in the Balfour Suite at the AFC Bournemouth stadium and recognising staff at Care South West.
