Car set alight on Torrington Commons

Police keen to speak with ‘hooded youths’ in connection with Commons car fire

POLICE in Torrington are keen to trace two hooded youths seen running away from a burning car.

The silver Renault Scenic is thought to have been set alight on Torrington Commons at around 10.30pm on Saturday, November 5.

The owner approached the vehicle but was left with cuts and grazes to his face after a small explosion.

Police in the town are appealing for any witnesses to telephone police on 101 quoting reference CT/11/482, alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
