Fire engines called out to ‘vague’ location on A399 in the early hours of this morning (Friday).
Fire fighters were called out in the early hours this morning (Friday) to a ‘vague’ location on the A399 after reports of a car on fire.
Two fire engines set off from either end of the road between Combe Martin and South Molton to ensure a timely response.
They found the vehicle well alight at around 1.38am and set to work putting it out using breathing apparatus and two hosereel jets.
Police also attended to assist with traffic as the carriageway was blocked by the fire fighting operation.
