Police are looking to identify a vehicle which forced another car off the road while overtaking a lorry on the A361 Link Road near West Buckland.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a car was forced from the road on the A361 Link Road and rolled into the trees.

Two women were travelling in the grey Seat Ibiza at around 7.20pm on Wednesday, November 15, towards Barnstaple.

They were close to the West Buckland junction when an unknown car, coming the opposite direction, overtook a lorry and forced the Seat Ibiza from the road.

A police spokesman said: “Luckily both the passenger and the driver sustained only minor injuries, but the car was extensively damaged.”

Police are looking to identify the vehicle involved, and speak to its driver as well as the driver of the lorry.

Anyone with any information, or who was driving in the area at the time and may have dashcam footage that could help police identify the lorry driver, is asked to email 101@dc.police.uk quoting police log 815 for November 15.
