Cadets take soaking for charity

Army Cadets from Braunton did not mind a soaking as their charity event raised 380 for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

The coffee morning organised by Corporal Ellie Major also encouraged people to pay for the opportunity of soaking volunteers in the stocks. It was well supported by the local community and by businesses, who donated raffle prizes.

Detachment Commander Staff Serjeant Andy McDonald said: “Corporal Major did extremely well organising the event, which was well received and supported by her peers. I would like to thank the local community for giving the event such great support.”
