Barnstaple Army Cadets have formd an affiliation with the Barnstaple branch of the Royal British Legion at Fremington Camp.It means the two organisations will help each other out whenever possible.The Certificate of Affiliation was presented to Lieutenant Phill Overton the Officer Commanding the Barnstaple Detachment by Mr Brian Cumming M.B.E., the Chairman of Devon County Royal British Legion.It is one of the first such links to be formed between cadets and Veterans in the county.Lt. Overton said he looked forward to the cadets supporting the Legion at their Parades and with their fund-raising.Mr Cumming said Legion members could give the occasional lecture and help with the Service and Skills element of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award and training standard bearers.
