A LEADING South West business network and support organisation is lending a hand of friendship to charities that are finding fund-raising more difficult in the current economic climate. Each of the 33 Business League networking clubs - including Bideford and Barnstaple in North Devon - is looking to adopt a charity that it can promote at events such as weekly breakfast meetings and business shows."One of the unique aspects of membership of The Business League is that that we all enjoy the added bonus of being able to network across the whole of the southwest and visit other clubs," said chief executive Kevin Allen."This offers a genuine opportunity for growing and raising the profile of a charitable fund-raising campaign."We would be more than happy to invite them along to a breakfast meeting in their area, where they can see for themselves how regularly turning up each week can strengthen and publicise their cause."Any charity that would like to find out more information about the benefits of becoming an honorary member is asked to contact the Kevin Allen on (01271) 378895 or 07799 557662.
