FIRE fighters were called to the rescue yesterday afternoon (Tues) after reports a bull had become stuck in a slurry pit at a farm in Umberleigh.

A crew from South Molton and specialist rescue appliances from Barnstaple arrived at Hankridge Barton Farm at around 1pm.
