Connecting Devon and Somerset have launched a new scheme to help everyone get faster Internet speeds.

A new scheme is being launched to help bring faster broadband to North Devon.

Connecting Devon and Somerset (CDS) have launched a voucher scheme to help everyone achieve faster Internet speeds.

Local residents, small businesses and communities can apply for a £500 voucher to help pay for the installation of a new broadband connection.

North Devon Council is urging people with slow connections to apply.

Councillor Pat Barker, executive member for economic development, said: “Some areas are still suffering from slow speeds and certain rural areas.

“If you think this may apply to you, go online and check your broadband speed and apply.”

The scheme will run until March 2017.
