POLICE have arrested the driver of a lorry involved in a fatal accident in Barnstaple earlier today (Wednesday).
A 56-year-old Exeter man is being held at Barnstaple Police Station on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
A motorcyclist died following the collision at the Sticklepath Hill roundabout, near the new downstream bridge, at around 1.30pm.
The crash has caused massive tailbacks in the town, with one driver reporting the drive from Pottington to Seven Brethren taking around 45 minutes.

Drivers are urged to avoid the area; all traffic from Braunton Road is being diverted, while the Halfords roundabout is also being closed and may be closed for some time.
